going to sundance?

Most of us are based in the UK, so I'd say it's unlikely.

I used to go. Then after a few years I just got fed up with it. It didn't have to do with having a good time....Hell, free booze, hottubs, parties. That aspect was great. But, the whole circus around it. The fact that the movies at Sundance are there for Primere not Pick-Up. The fact that it has turned from Indie to Billion-Dollar-Baby. A good friend of mine is running SlamDance now and I was thinking about going only to see her and to see another friend's primere.

I was wondering if people agree with Nigel that Sundance is just for big studios. Do you think that small independent filmmakers can succeed at Sundance? Do you think they will be welcomed?
